School of Music Scholarship Concert

The KU School of Music presented the 1st Annual School of Music Scholarship Concert, featuring the KU Symphony Orchestra and Choirs performing Mendelssohn's Elijah on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 7:30pm at the Lied Center of Kansas.

The KU Symphony Orchestra and Choirs performed Felix Mendelssohn's oratorio Elijah, featuring vocal solos by KU students Charles Martinez, Madison Mikenna, Kelly Elise Smith and Kristee Haney. KU doctoral student Robert McNichols was featured in the title role. The performance was conducted by Paul Tucker, KU Director of Choral Activities.

A reception honoring scholarship donors to the School of Music was held in the Seymour Gallery after the concert. The evening was a huge success and we look forward to next year!
