Carolyn Thompson joins the School of Music as the assistant to Dean Walzel.  She will provide administrative support to the Dean and the School, plan and coordinate KU Endowment Activities, develop and plan special events, assist with scholarship and award process, assist with program review and accreditation and other projects. Her previous work on campus includes administrative support positions at the Life Span Institute, Continuing Education and Human Development and Family Life. 

Carolyn holds a Master of Science in Management from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Kansas State University.  She has two children, Molly and Taylor, and Pepper the dog!  She is passionate about quilting and loves to cook.
