KCContinuum presents 3-2-1: KCContinuum was founded by composer Nicholas S. Omiccioli to present works written after 1945 by established and emerging international composers. KCContinuum believes in promoting the music of today and exposing audiences to infrequently performed contemporary music. For the ensembles inaugural concert, 3-2-1, KCContinuum will present trios, duos, and solo works by Carter, Crumb, Takemitsu, Husa, and Omiccioli.

Telharmonium Electronic Music Ensemble, featuring the music of Steve Reich, Mario Davidovsky, Morton Subotnick, Kip Haaheim, and Scott Lindroth. This concert offers the public a rare opportunity to see electronic works performed in a music hall. The program includes Steve Reich's 1990 Grammy-winning composition about World War II and the Holocaust entitled Different Trains for string quartet and electronics; Mario Davidovsky's Pulitzer-winning Synchronisms No. 6 for piano and tape, Morton Subotnick's Passages Of The Beast for clarinet and 'ghost electronics,' and works by Scott Lindroth and KU's own Professor Kip Haaheim.

The theme of this spring jazz concert is "New Standards, with almost all of the selections performed being re-interpretations of music by Bjork, Radiohead and Steely Dan. Arrangements and/or re-interpretations were written by Professor Dan Gailey, Steve Owen, Fred Sturm, James Miley, Matt Moresi, and KU student Steve Sharp.
