When you look back on your experiences at KU, you may not be aware of the many ways private financial support significantly enriched your educational opportunities.  Because state appropriations do not fully fund the KU School of Music, private donors play an increasingly crucial role in building an environment where students and faculty can maximize their talents.  Private contributions provide support for scholarships, endowing professorships, constructing and renovating academic and performance spaces, bringing guest performers and instructors to campus, and purchasing instruments and equipment for KU's various musical ensembles.

As the development director for KU's School of Music and The Lied Center of Kansas, I travel the country to visit with alumni and friends who are interested in helping KU build on its reputation as an important center for music education.

If you would like more information on how you can have an impact, please contact me by email at marp@kuendowment.org, or call me toll-free at KU Endowment at 800-444-4201.  Thank you for your interest and support of music at the University of Kansas.

Sincerely,

Michael E. Arp
Associate Development Director
