Janet Diehl Corwin, Assistant to the Dean, came "home" to the School of Music in 2004 after thirteen years in public schools in Topeka and Lincoln, Nebraska. She served as the Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Music and Dance for five years before moving to the School of Music Dean's Office in 2009. In addition to assisting the Dean with his scheduling and administrative duties, Janet coordinates faculty and staff searches, promotion and tenure processes, annual faculty evaluations, GTA contracts, and GRF and sabbatical applications, as well as other special projects.

Janet earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree here at the University of Kansas. She has taught piano privately for many years, and is active in her church music program. She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her two adult sons and three precious grandchildren, and is an avid quilter and knitter.
