KU Youth Chorus to begin eigth year

Friday, September 21, 2012

LAWRENCE-The KU Youth Chorus (KUYC) will begin its eighth year this fall at the University of Kansas.

The choir is a non-auditioned group for children in grades 4-8 created to provide a singing experience for interested children and offer KU undergraduate and graduate music education majors opportunities to enhance their conducting and rehearsal skills.

Rehearsals will begin October 11 and continue through early May 2013, from 4:30-5:45 PM in the choir room in Murphy Hall, room 328. Any interested youth grades 4-8 may become a member of KUYC--there are no auditions to participate in the choir.

The cost of membership is $60 for the KUYC calendar year, October through May. For more registration information, please contact Ashley Allen at adallen@ku.edu.
