KU School of Music welcomes new school year with 13th annual Collage Concert

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

LAWRENCE- The KU School of Music ushers in the new school year with the 13th annual Collage Concert. This year’s concert will be held at the Lied Center at 7:30pm on Friday, September 21, 2012. Admission is $16/general admission and $11/students and seniors.

The Collage Concert is an opportunity for the community to experience the talents of KU music students and faculty. This year’s concert will feature KU’s Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir, Percussion Group, Jazz Ensemble I, Wind Ensemble, as well as performances by faculty and student soloists. The concert always culminates with a rousing performance by the Marching Jayhawks.

Following the concert will be a ticketed fundraising reception in the Seymour Gallery of the Lied Center. Tickets to the reception are $75 (includes entry into the concert), and proceeds will go to the School of Music Student Opportunity Fund. For those interested in the fundraising reception, please contact Janet Corwin in the School of Music Dean’s Office at 785-864-3422.
