KU's Helianthus Ensemble to perform spring concert

The Helianthus Ensemble, a student ensemble dedicated to the performance of contemporary music, will perform spring concerts at 4:30pm and 7:30pm on Saturday, April 17, 2010, in The Commons/Spooner Hall.

With Professor Forrest Pierce as Instructor, the Helianthus Contemporary Ensemble will perform works by a variety of contemporary composers, including works by KU faculty members Kip Haaheim and Forrest Pierce, as well as KU students Daniel Musselman and Cory Hills. The program also includes works by Yoko Ono, O. Golijov, and more. Please note the program selections are subject to change.

Free will donations will be taken at the door, with donations going to the SEVA Foundation's "Gifts of Sight" program (click here for more information).
