2020 KU Organ Conference:
More about the conference: Olivier Latry, organist of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and Professor of Organ at the Paris Conservatory, was appointed as a faculty member at the University of Kansas in 2019. He will be in residence at KU Music for the second time in October 2020. As part of each residency, KU Music is sponsoring a conference on different aspects of French organ music and culture. The conference will focus on Louis Vierne, commemorating his sesquicentennial birthday.
The conference registration fee includes two days of conference masterclasses and/or lectures, and one ticket for Olivier Latry's solo concert at Bales Organ Recital Hall. Concert ticket sales to the general public will be released June 15 through the Lied Center of Kansas Box Office. A more detailed conference schedule will be published in the coming weeks.
