The University of Kansas School of Music will present the 2012 Undergraduate and Graduate Honors Recitals

LAWRENCE-The University of Kansas School of Music will present the 2012 Undergraduate and Graduate Honors Recitals this month in Swarthout Recital Hall/Murphy Hall. Students are nominated by their professors to audition. The students listed below were chosen from auditions to perform in the recitals. GRADUATE: Janis Porietis-trumpet; Carissa Scroggins-voice; Soajin Kim-piano; Shan-Ken Chien-violin; Congcong Chai-piano; Joe Winans-voice; Inge Buniardi-piano.

UNDERGRADUATE: Breanna Ellison-horn; Connie Mak-piano; Shirin Abvabi-clarinet; John Meyer-voice; Michael Cooper-voice; Carissa Smardo-flute; Yangmingtian Zhao-piano.

The Graduate Honors Recital will take place on Friday, February 17 at 7:30pm in Swarthout Recital Hall. The Undergraduate Honors Recital will take place Wednesday, February 22, 7:30pm, in Swarthout Recital Hall. Both events are free and open to the public.
