MELISSA GRADY




        Melissa L. Grady, a graduate of Wichita State University (B.M.E., M.M.E with an emphasis in choral conducting), most recently served for eight years as director of choral activities at Derby High School. She currently serves on the state board of the Kansas Choral Directors Association (KCDA), and is a past president of the South-Central District of the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA). Derby High School choirs under her direction were twice selected to perform at the KMEA State Conference.

        Melissa has sung regularly with the Wichita Chamber Chorale, and directs the youth choir at College Hill United Methodist Church. She enters the Ph.D. program in choral pedagogy this year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, with primary instructional duties in the undergraduate choral conducting clinics and choral methods courses.
