While this is an innovative approach to teaching and
learning, the class will function as a typical class in virtually
every way.
All students will learn to operate the technology at the site and
will be assigned presentations and/or papers that will be delivered
to the class via the technology.
The instructor will provide technical assistance in learning the system.
All participants will contribute in terms of teaching and learning.
Credit
The course is offered for 3 graduate hours of credit, 2 hours for
class and 1 hour for assigned projects, papers, and/or presentations.
The third hour will be devoted to out-of-class preparation and research.
How do I enroll for this class?
Enrollment Information
This is a live interactive class offered at multiple sites simultaneously via the Kan-Ed distance system and the internet.
Students wishing to enroll at a distance site should contact the instructor immediately for
a site. Call her at 785-864-9638 or send an e-mail to Dr. Debra Hedden
at least 2 weeks prior to the 1st day of class to arrange for use of a distance site. Please provide your name,
address, phone number, e-mail address, intended semester/year for attendance, and requested site location.
Both degree seeking and nondegree seeking graduate students may enroll, but distance students enroll
through one section if attending at Edwards, another for "all other" sites. Students will be assessed the fees relevant to the section in which they enroll.
