  • University of Kansas General Research Fund Grant: c. $4,000. “Musical Understanding: Toward a More Effective Music Theory Pedagogy.” A research grant to provide uninterrupted time in the summer to write a new music theory pedagogy book outline, proposal, and first two chapters.
