Enrollment

Main Advising Period

Main advising periods are designated during the fall and spring semesters (see the timetable for specific dates). During this time, students should schedule an appointment with their advisor to review progress toward their degree and prepare a schedule for the following semester. All students and faculty are responsible for knowing their programs, however the ultimate responsibility is the student’s.

Main Enrollment Period

Students enroll online for courses during the main enrollment period (see timetable for specific dates) for the following semester(s). All graduate students who do not enroll during the main enrollment period will be charged a late fee. Students must obtain a permission number from the instructor for any class that has a restriction ("Instructor" or "Department") listed in the timetable, before they can enroll in the class. More specific information regarding enrolling online can be found on the University Registrar’s web site: www.registrar.ku.edu.
