THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC SHOWCASE

The KU School of Music will partner with KJHK 90.7 fm, the University of Kansas student-run radio station, to premiere a new radio program called The School of Music Showcase. This program, set to air fall 2011, will spotlight the numerous events taking place at the School of Music as and will showcase performances and compositions of music students and faculty.

Jason Charney, a music composition student, will host the program at 9:00pm on Wednesday nights, with the first show airing August 24. Charney will highlight recordings of student recitals and ensemble performances; he also plans to interview students, conductors and visiting artists. Colin Mahoney, the School of Music’s sound engineer, will assist with production.

KU School of Music students are welcome to submit their works for the show.
