Mrs. Maxine Anton, a long-time resident of Kansas, was a great supporter of the arts in Topeka, involved with numerous music activities. The gift of this Schimmel grand piano is done in memory of Mrs. Anton and her love for music. The piano will be used in piano pedagogy classes to develop teaching skills for students who come from all parts of the world to study music at KU. The University of Kansas School of Music offers our sincere gratitude to the family of Mrs. Maxine Anton and Janet Jeanes for their generous gift, one that will benefit our students for years to come!
