KU School of Music presents spring Undergraduate Honor Recital on April 3
LAWRENCE - Ten University of Kansas School of Music students will perform in the spring Undergraduate Honor Recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 3 in 130 Murphy Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The School of Music students performing are as follows (in order of performance):
Regina Tanujaya is a senior piano performance major from Surabaya, Indonesia. She is a student of Steven Spooner, professor of piano. Tanujaya will perform Etude-Tableaux, Op. 33 No. 5 in E♭ minor by Sergei Rachmaninov.
Fern Stevermer is a sophomore music education major from Fulton, MO. She is a student of Michael Davidson, professor of trombone. Stevermer will perform Concertino in B♭ by Ernst Sachse.
Yuliana Wijaya is a junior piano performance major from Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a student of Steven Spooner, professor of piano. Wijaya will perform L’alouette (The Lark), by Mikhail Glinka/Mily Balakinev.
Ryan Weaver is a freshman bassoon performance major from Double Oak, TX. He is a student of Eric Stomberg, professor of bassoon. Weaver will perform Sonata g-moll, Op. 24 No. 5 by Francois Devienne.
Luke Rhodes is a senior piano performance major from Lawrence, KS. He is a student of Steven Spooner, professor of piano. Rhodes will perform Nocturne in D-flat Major for the Left Hand Alone by Alexander Scriabin.
Maddie Bert is a freshman flute performance major from St. Louis, MO. She is a student of Sarah Frisof, professor of flute. Bert will perform Night Soliloquy by Kent Kennan.
Tristan Greeno is a piano performance and musicology major from Bothell, WA. He is a student of Steven Spooner, professor of piano. Greeno will perform Poeme in F-Sharp Major Op. 32 No. 1 by Alexander Scriabin.
Richard Adger is a sophomore clarinet performance major from Kansas City, MO. He is a student of Stephanie Zelnick, professor of clarinet. Adger will perform Sonatina for Clarinet Solo, Op. 27, Movement 1 by Miklós Rozsa.
Kai Ono is a sophomore piano performance and composition major from Irvine, CA. He is a student of Scott McBride Smith, professor of piano pedagogy. Ono will perform Sonata No. 4, Op. 30 by Alexander Sériabin.
Calvet Young is a sophomore voice performance major from Lawrence, KS. He is a student of Genaro Mendez, professor of voice. Young will perform L’Ultima Canzone by Francesco Paolo Tosti.
