KU trio selected to perform in Michael Stern’s master class
LAWRENCE, KS —The Wakarusa Trio was selected to perform as part of Kansas City Symphony music director Michael Stern’s chamber music master class on Saturday, April 6 at 11 am.
The students were selected by nomination. The trio includes Puyin Bai, senior, clarinet; Shokhrukh Sadikov, MM student, viola; and Kai Yin Crystal Lam, DMA student, piano. The musicians are coached by Scott McBride Smith, piano division director and professor of piano.
They will perform Mozart’s “Kegelstatt” Trio (Movement 1), K. 498.
