The University of Kansas Bands

Offers you a wonderful musical environment in which to learn, grow, and make life-long friends. No matter what your level of interest or major, there is a place for you in the KU Bands!

Opportunities exist for performing in one of our outstanding concert bands, athletic bands, or jazz bands.

Prospective students are encouraged to visit campus. To schedule your visit, make an appointment with KU Admissions. Let them know you are interested visiting with the Band Faculty and see the facilities. You may also contact KU Bands at kuband@ku.edu.

If you are considering majoring in music, you will have the opportunity to be challenged to your highest level in preparation for a professional career in music.Visit the School of Music website to apply to audition to become a music major and to be considered for scholarship. In addition to applying to become a music major, fill out an application to the University of Kansas. Those interested in obtaining scholarships visit the KU Scholarship website.
