Laura McCorkill

Laura McCorkill serves as an Administrative Associate at the University of Kansas School of Music, where she has been a member of the staff since September 2009. In her role, she oversees Recital Scheduling and manages the Communication and Events Center.

Ms. McCorkill holds both a Bachelor of Music Education (1984) and a Master of Music Education (2010) from KU. Prior to her current position, she spent 22 years teaching music throughout the state of Kansas. She also served for over two decades as the Choral Music Manager and Clinician for the Midwestern Music Camp.

In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Ms. McCorkill is actively involved in the musical community. She is the faculty advisor for the School of Music Ambassador’s Club and performs as a member of the KU Philharmonic Orchestra.
