Biography —
Israeli pianist Zechariah Plavin, Visiting Professor, is a faculty member at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. A student of the renowned pianist Louis Kentner, Prof. Plavin has recorded the works of Scriabin, Schumann, Liszt and Orgad. He is an internationally respected pianist and teacher; he is also an author whose publications include four books and six produced plays. Prof. Plavin has directed international seminars with some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary composers, including Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Marcel Landowski and Einojuhanni Rautavaara.
