Graduate Audition MUSIC
Complete your graduate application to KU, then select your instrument or degree program from the menu below for specific requirements.
The following MUSIC degree programs require an audition to the School of Music:
- Church Music (MM, DMA)
- Conducting (MM, DMA)
- Performance - all instruments (MM, DMA)
ALL Piano and Voice performance applicants must submit a prescreening audition through Acceptd by December 1st.
The following MEMT graduate programs require the admission video as noted in the MEMT Graduate Application Procedure document.
- Music Education (MME, PHD)
- Music Therapy (MME, PHD)
- Music Therapy (Graduate Equivalency)
- Applicants without an undergraduate degree in music must also complete a separate audition to the School of Music.
- For that audition, select Music Therapy Graduate Equivalency from the menu on the left for specific requirements.
Fall 2021 Audition Dates
Please note: due to Covid 19 concerns, KU School of Music will be offering video auditions in lieu of the live auditions.
Attention Piano and Voice/Opera Graduate Applicants: You must submit a video pre-screen audition via Acceptd no later than December 1, 2020 in order to be considered for a final admission audition. This still applies under the Covid 19 protocols.
